Our teaching Staff:

We are proud to have a wonderful, dedicated team of professionals who bring their own unique strengths to our Little People family. Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds and are qualified, registered teachers and also hold current First Aid certificates. Together they grace us with a wealth of experience and skill at what they do.

Our teachers are supported through professional development to ensure they remain current and leaders in their field in order to provide our children with the best possible care and education. Regular performance appraisals are also in place to ensure that our staff has a vision and that their passion for what they do is kept alive.

We believe in maintaining and establishing strong partnerships and relationships with our children, parents and whanau.“It takes a special person with patience and wisdom to share and unlock the treasure awaiting within children”

Jodie Hight and Tony Hight - Owners

I am the Mother of two beautiful daughters and have been in the Early Childhood setting for over 20 years. I arrived at our Archers Road centre at the age of 15 for an interview and never looked back. And, 10 years later I became the owner of the centre and changed its name to ‘Little People’. I had a dream and passion and I am here today continuing to offer my skills and love as a teacher.

Zaneta Cheemee - Manager

Working with, and being part of the education of children has always been my calling and passion. Having qualified as a Primary and High School teacher, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood from the University of Auckland. I started my employment as a teacher at Little People in 2004 and have enjoyed and learnt so much over the past 17 years. Working at Little People is about joining a family and celebrating each child’s growth and development from the moment they walk through the doors to the end of their time here with us and often, beyond.
